Bishop Francis A. Quinn Schools - comprised of Bishop Quinn High School and St. Francis Middle School is located in Palo Cedro, California, which is about 7 miles east of Redding. We are among eight Catholic high schools in the Sacramento Diocese, and we are supported by the Catholic School Department that provides a foundation for 53 elementary and secondary schools. This year we mark our 11th Year at Bishop Quinn where over these growing years we have graduated students into some of the finest colleges and universities in the nation.

Please spend some time with us! As you explore our web site, I hope you will come to understand why Bishop Quinn High School and St. Francis Middle School are recognized by many in Shasta County as exceptional schools, priding themselves on not only college preparatory/Advance Placement courses for students in the high school, but also a comprehensive sports and co-curricular program that speaks to educating the "whole child." All our students are involved with multiple leadership organizations, clubs, sports and other activities that enhance student passions while in school. Our students excel in English, history, the arts, science and math, and government, as many students are involved in such clubs Science Bowl and Mock Trial teams, which are very successful regionally. As a Catholic Christian school, we offer an extensive service program where our students contribute many thousands of hours to the greater community each year. Our Retreat Programs are second to none as students come together as a class talking about relationships, family, future goals and aspirations and a stronger relationship with God. Bishop Quinn Schools are open to students of all faiths and experiences and that diversity is what makes stronger leaders for the future.

Below are just some of the achievements of our students:

  • On average, 95% of our seniors go on to college.

  • In 2005, the average score for Bishop Quinn college entrance exams was higher than the California average and the national average.

  • Bishop Quinn students scored an average of 86 points higher on the SAT's compared to the state average.
