Campus Ministry
As a Catholic high school, everything we do at Bishop Quinn is related to Campus Ministry. Everyone from faculty and staff to students and parents are considered Campus Ministers. The goal of the Campus Ministry team is to facilitate healthy spirituality and strong faith within each member of the school community. Rooted in the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ and Catholic tradition, Campus Ministry promotes an experience of community where all members of the school can grow together to "Love God, and to Love One Another."
Prayer and Sacrament
Prayer is the way we cultivate a conscious relationship with God. Everything we do at Bishop Quinn begins with a prayer. Each school day begins with a prayer led by a student and many class periods begin with prayer. Assemblies and home games in athletics begin with prayer as well.
The Eucharist is celebrated on the First Friday of each month and on Wednesday s as individual class Masses in our chapel. These school Masses or prayer services are celebrated monthly and planned by students and faculty. All retreats include a liturgy as well. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered during Advent and Lent or any time upon request, as is the Sacrament of Anointing for the sick. All members of the Bishop Quinn community are welcome whenever we gather for prayer. View our Campus Ministry calendar.
Retreats
Retreats help focus individual spiritual growth while also creating a deeper sense of connection and commitment to one's community. Student ministers, staff, and parish ministers lead all retreats.
Freshmen Retreat provides comfort into the high school experience where friends, family and their relationship with God are the focus.

Juniors and seniors can make a three-day retreat zzz View our Campus Ministry calendar.
Pastoral Care
Pastoral care and spiritual direction are available for students and their parents through the school chaplain, Fr. Avram Brown, or other members of the Campus Ministry team.
Community Service
One of the Touchstones of our mission at Bishop Quinn is to form our students into servant leaders who witness to Christ's teaching to love through regular service in their communities. One of the requirements for graduation from Bishop Quinn is the completion of a minimum of 20 service hours each school year. Students may complete their service hours on campus and in the greater community. For a list of service possibilities, check the Community Service Opportunities Page.
Group service projects are offered periodically which provide students the experience of working together in service of others. During Easter Break in April, a group of BQ students, students from other high schools and faculty travel to Mexico assisting in the construction of houses for needy families in Tijuana. To help integrate service with justice, we have a yearly Peace and Justice Day.
Students may complete half of the 20-hour requirement during the months of June and July. The remainder they must complete during the months of August through May so they may reflect on their service experience in relationship to the rest of the school curriculum. The community service requirement is as important as any other class here at Bishop Quinn. Participation in athletics and other extracurricular activities may be contingent on a student's completion of the yearly service expectation. All report cards, transcripts and diplomas will be held until service hours have been completed.
